One of my favorite parts about planning client holiday events...
One of my favorite parts about planning client holiday events and events in general is thinking through the experience. What do I want our guests to feel? It’s usually the same… I want folks who come through the door to feel welcomed, joyful, and full of laughter, delicious food, and good company.
The application of what that looks like may be different. What kind of food do we want to serve? This is almost always our first question as food is our love language. ;) Where do we want to host? What do we want the vibe to be? Is there something for guests to take home?
In thinking through these questions, it’s fun to think through the local businesses and mom and pop shops we want to support in the process. . we love featuring other makers and small business owners like ourselves… it naturally leads to conversation (as the stories of Kenny being a former baker and the like!), and ultimately, helps to create community, a sense of belonging where we’re able to connect people with each other.
A little fun trip down memory lane of the early Connie + Kenny (pre-Willowmar) days…
2016 & 2017 — we had a brunch party with bubbly and gifted clients pies from Three Babes!
2018 — Kenny and I hosted a holiday photoshoot for our clients to get their photos done for holiday cards, LinkedIn, dating profiles and the like. ;) Our dear friend and client Nate shot the event and gave us these fab test shots like the one below…
While our company has grown in size and party attendance, the roots of our events still carry these very same ethos — making people feel welcomed and full…of appreciation and good food, obvi. ;)
